Our nannies work a minimum of 40 hours a week and often perform duties beyond standard childcare. They maintain a consistent schedule for one family and operate under a contract with benefits. In addition to ensuring your children’s safety and entertainment, our nannies assist with various household tasks and some provide educational activities to promote developmental growth.

Understand Our Fee Structure

To begin your journey with The Nanny Network, there is a non-refundable application fee of $25 (fee waived through 9-1-2024), which is valid for one calendar year. Additionally, a non-refundable finder’s fee of $150 is required, which will be applied to the placement fee. The permanent placement fee is 12% based off of the nanny’s annual income (full-time or part-time). This fee is due no later than 5 days before the nanny starts work. For fees over $5500, payments can be split into two: half before the nanny starts and the second half after 60 days of employment. We aim to provide flexible payment options to suit your needs.

Comprehensive Nanny Benefits

Our full-time nannies work 40 hours or more per week, with a minimum pay rate of $20 per hour. Families hiring permanent placement nannies who work at least 40 hours per week are encouraged to provide guaranteed hours, paid holidays, paid time off, reimbursements, and overtime pay. These benefits ensure that our nannies are well-compensated and motivated to provide the best care possible for your children.

Distinguishing Nannies from Babysitters

It’s important to understand the difference between a nanny and a babysitter. Babysitters are typically hired for occasional care, such as date nights or one-off days, and work less than 8 hours a week. Their primary role is to entertain children and keep them safe, along with picking up toys and dishes used during their time.

Nannies, on the other hand, work a minimum of 15 hours a week and perform duties beyond standard childcare. They maintain a consistent schedule for one family and operate under a contract with benefits. Nannies help with light housekeeping, children’s laundry, tidying up play areas, and driving children to and from activities. They also ensure kids follow a structured routine and engage in educational activities to promote developmental growth.
